HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY

Women are just pure beautiful creatures. I mean, look at them, so fascinating, great humor (women are funnier than men, don't argue with me), factory fitted to carry another being (motherhood), intelligent, hard workers, nurturers, love personified, I could go on and on and on.

It's absolutely delightful to be a woman.

Don't get me wrong, being a woman is awesome but we come with our own issues. We could be sometimes over sensitive, over stimulated, the mood swings go so high up in the air for absolutely no reason...

...bleed for 1 week every month and ovulate for another one week during which we are confused, forgetful, and often lose taste of food while craving many other things and in some cases wired things. In all of this we still maintain premium beauty and carriage.

I do not believe any woman is easier to maintain than the other. I think people just have their preferences as to what they would like to use in maintaining themselves and these preferences cost differently. Also I believe it comes in stages as well.

One of the maintenance features would be makeup. My God! Women look absolutely gorgeous in makeup and I'm not taking about those overly pigmented, exaggerated, cement looking ones with completely off undertones. Definitely not those ones for sure.

The right makeup applied in the right amount makes a women look so beautiful in ways words cannot describe. Now, not many women know how to go about getting what's right for them and honestly a certain demographic has sold to them the idea that makeup has to look like fundant before it's considered "good" makeup. A lot of women do not know how to take care of their makeup tools e.g makeup brushes, this affects the way their makeup looks when it's applied and brings them to the awfully wrong conclusion that they do not look good in makeup.

Let me educate you a little. Makeup brushes are very important in the process of makeup application. The right makeup brushes gives a fine and seamless finish. They are also the first to get dirty amongst your makeup tools (yes you read that right, because you haven't changed your brushes in years or even washed them) and don't get me started on the foam or makeup sponges. Those ones retain all kinds of dirt and somehow most women forget to change them or wash them.

Here are things a dirty makeup brush / foam / sponge can cause your skin.

1. clogged pores

2. Staph infections (believe me , I'm as shocked as you are)

3. Pink eye

4. Skin irritation

5. Higher risk of getting more wrinkles

6. Makeup would look bad and you could attract bugs (yup, bugs...Asin actual insects, ewwwww)

So how do you know when to change your brushes / foam / sponge?

1. They start looking frazzled

2. Bristles are falling off and sponge is tearing or becomes soggy

3. Bristles / foam / sponge become stiff (I know many of you are in this category)

4. It smells weird

5. Your makeup doesn't apply well when using the brush

6. You're breaking out

7. And finally the tools have seen better days.

Don't wait for all of this to happen. You're a beautiful woman and as you have celebrated your beautiful self on international women's day, give yourself a treat by changing those brushes girl.
